Woman Accused of Selling Prescription Pills Outside Courthouse

A Whiteville woman is accused of selling prescription pills to undercover operative in the parking lot of the Columbus County courthouse.

Amanda Grant Cartrette was at the courthouse for a Superior Court hearing on an unrelated matter. Cartrette left her court hearing and met an undercover operative in the public vehicular area of the courthouse. She allegedly sold the undercover operative Adderall and Suboxone tablets.

Cartrettte was arrested on March 21, 2018 and processed at the Columbus County Law Enforcement Center under a $30,000 secured bond. 

Charges:

  • 1 felony count of Sell/Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance
  • 1 felony count of Sell/Deliver Schedule III Controlled Substance
  • 1 felony count of Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and/or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance
  • 1 felony count of Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and/or Deliver Schedule III Controlled Substance
