Chadbourn, NC –The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Vice-Narcotics Unit arrested two individuals on May 14, 2019, at the conclusion of an investigation. This investigation was initiated from numerous citizen complaints.

Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Unit received information that Tyre Javon Lennon was selling narcotics from his residence on Peaceful Way in Chadbourn. CCSO Vice-Narcotics Investigators completed an undercover purchase of narcotics from Tyre Javon Lennon. A search warrant was obtained and executed at Lennon’s residence on May 14th. During the search of the property, CCSO Vice-Narcotics Investigators located and seized an amount of cocaine, Zanax, drug paraphernalia, cash, three (3) handguns, two (2) long guns, and stolen property from a Cumberland County investigation. Tyre Javon Lennon, 29, was arrested and charged with one felony count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture/Sell/Deliver a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, one felony count of Maintaining a Dwelling to Use, Sale, or Store a Controlled Substance, one felony count of Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine, a misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and one misdemeanor count of Possession of Stolen Property. He was given a $30,500.00 secured bond. Jarvis Merrell McKinnon, 39, was at the above stated property at the time of the search warrant. McKinnon is a convicted felon and was in the possession of one of the seized handguns. He was arrested and charged with one felony count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. McKinnon received a $2,500.00 secured bond.
