The Carolina Bays are often presented as “mysterious” or “unexplained,” but years of geological research has illuminated the ways in which the Bays form and evolve.
Dr. Chris Tacker, Curator of Geology for the NC Museum of Natural Sciences will discuss the current state of knowledge for the Bays. Along the way, we will detour into the ways that Science works, and the means by which geologists gather data to address problems.
